In the news: The Leahs re-emerge after a post-election hibernation



Former Wisconsin legislator Leah Vukmir joins conservative National Taxpayers Union.  (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 3/6/2019)
CONNECTIONS.  Vukmir was a member of the Wisconsin Assembly from 2002 to 2010 and was in the state Senate from 2011 to 2018, carving out a reputation as a fiscal conservative and abortion foe. 
She also rose to prominence nationally in roles with the American Legislative Exchange Council, which works with corporations and conservatives to write model legislation that can be introduced in state legislatures throughout the country.  [emphasis added]
