Booker T. and the MG's "Hang 'em High" debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending November 9, 1968


Booker T. & the MG's 12th single to chart and the first to reach the top 10 since "Green Onions" in the fall of 1962,  "Hang'em High" probably saved the group from being dubbed a one-hit wonder, in spite of their influential career as the house band for Stax Records
