Which is nearly 2 1/2 times the size of Outagamie County.

About a million acres of wetlands could be left vulnerable and as many as 300 hazardous air pollutants could become unregulated under a pair of proposals circulating among lawmakers.

The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce lobbyists are leading the cheers.  Scott Manley, who served as chief of state for Republican Cathy Stepp, is Senior Vice-President of Government Relations.

The top-spending lobbying group between January and June was Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), the state’s largest business organization, which doled out about $407,800 to lobby about 2,800 hours. The group is a political heavyweight when it comes to influence on state spending and policy, as well as election spending in legislative and statewide races.
