Ted Cruz really really really really really really wants Scott Walker's endorsement

As quoted in Cruz Says He Was 'Inspired' By Walker During Act 10 Protests.  (Wisconsin Public Radio, 3/24/2016)

The population of Wisconsin in early 2011 was approximately 5,709,000.   As I read it, millions and millions = 4,000,000 at a minimum.  Walker received 1,128,941 votes in the 2010 gubernatorial election.

The mealy-mouthed Scott Walker offers his thoughts on the matter here.

Scott Walker continues to heed the voices of his masters, Charles and David Koch

And he blames Jim Doyle in the process!!

Walker Mulls Cuts To State Energy Efficiency Program.  Recent Report From State Agency Says Initiative Helps Ratepayers.  (Wisconsin Public Radio, 3/25/2016)
Koch Bros say 'jump', Scotti asks 'How high'?"  "My predecessor (Democrat Jim Doyle) and the Legislature poured a lot of money into subsidizing certain industries related to clean energy and there's gotta be a balance there, too," Walker said.

The Koch Brothers, of course, have taught Scott Walker everything he knows about energy balancing acts.

Drumlin Dairy does the math

9000
Number of goats to be kept on a proposed Jefferson County dairy,.

1001
Number of animal "units" that defines a concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO), which are more strictly regulated than smaller operations.

10
Number of goats that equal an animal "unit"

900
Number of animal "units" that make up the Drumlin goat-milking operation.  No pesky CAFO regulations, in other words.

Proposed Jefferson County goat milking operation would be among largest in world.  (Madison.com, 3/24/2016)
Under state rules, 10 goats constitute one animal unit, meaning the Drumlin operation would be the equivalent of 900 cows. “That bothered me. It concerns me that if (Drumlin is) going to that level, why not go further and get fully regulated?” [Anita] Martin [of Lake Mills' Citizens for a Better Environment] said. “It’s doubtful they will do the voluntary things that otherwise would be required, like being subjected to public review from time to time.”

I share this Dairymaster Swiftglo Goat Rotary commercial only because it features a 1800-head goat farm.   You'll have to do this last bit of math:  1800 X ___ = 9000.

Say goodbye to Unimin Corp.'s Tunnel City frac sand mine (2014-2016)

2014
Mining towns worry frac sand's gifts will dry up with oil price slump.  (Energywire, 6/2/2015)
Perched atop a pair of railroad underpasses, Unimin Corp.'s Tunnel City silica extraction center last year began sending carloads of fine, white sand to energy producers in Pennsylvania, North Dakota and Texas. Under the terms of Unimin's development contract, the company owes Greenfield 15 cents on the first million tons of sand it ships out of Tunnel City and 10 cents after that. In 2014, the mine's first year of operation, Unimin paid out $222,019 to the community.

2016
Another Frac Sand Mine Is Shutting Down In Wisconsin.  (Wisconsin Public Radio News, 3/23/2016)
UNIMIN’s Tunnel City operation was built to supply frac sand to drillers in what’s called the Bakken Shale play of North Dakota and southern Montana, which saw an incredible growth in the number of oil and gas wells between 2012 and 2015. But with oil prices just more than half of what they were in two years ago, new well completions have stalled.

Access to reproductive care is central to equality between the sexes. By requiring employers’ health plans to provide contraceptive coverage, the Affordable Care Act represents an important legislative link between sex equality and reproductive rights. Before it was passed, women were paying more for health care than men largely because of the cost of reproductive health coverage.

After Health Care Act, Sharp Drop in Spending on Birth Control.  (The New York Times, 7/7/2015)
Cost has long been a major obstacle to women getting birth control, and declines in what they pay for contraceptives have the potential to increase access and reduce unplanned pregnancies. About half of the 6.6 million pregnancies a year in the United States are unintended, far higher than in most developed countries.
