Pennsylvania's Route 6: A recommended bucket-list drive

It's a mostly 2-lane, curvy, undulating, take-your-time highway across the northern tier of Pennsylvania.  The Tunkhannock-to-Towanda stretch offers the most spectacular views.  Due to my Warren PA/Boston-Springfield MA connections, I drove this route numerous times in summer and fall from the mid-70s into early 80s.  It added a couple of hours to the trip, including time for picture-taking, but the scenery was well worth the extra time.

I still like to take the scenic route when time allows.

The slide is undated.  Probably taken in the early fall of 1977.

From September 1980, on a road trip to visit relatives in Springfield and friends in Boston.

Yup, the slide digitizing project continues.
