Recent LCPL news:
La Crosse proposal would merge city, county libraries.  (Onalaska-Holmen Courier-Life, 8/18/2016)
The La Crosse Public Library strategic plan, currently being written by the board, includes a project called “One County, One Library,” which would focus on ways to integrate the two systems. However, Gelatt criticized Kabat for putting the idea forward in the form of a resolution before sitting down with representatives from the both library systems and county leadership.
Letter to the editor:  Do not contract La Crosse library services with the county.  (Coulee News, 8/18/2016)
It seems that the city library manages its assets differently than the county. I can find whatever I need at the public library on Main Street. I struggle when browsing at the county level. They shelve the same but label differently and with less detail.
