100 Years of Frank Sinatra: "Melody of Love"

Frank Sinatra wasn't the only singer to record "Melody of Love" in late 1954.  An instrumental by Billy Vaughn was the most popular version, spending 27 weeks on the chart.   A month later, an instrumental version by David Carroll started a 17-week run.   Tom Glazer added lyrics to the 1903 song, and these were crooned by the Four Aces and Leo Diamond.

Sinatra's version spent 4 weeks on the chart in early 1955, peaking at #17

In addition to a number of department and variety stores, all of them located on Central Avenue, Great Falls had 3 stores that sold phonograph records in the mid-1950s, according to the yellow pages of the phone book.
