In a 4-way race, La Tonya Johnson won the August 14th primary with 43% of the vote.

Running as a Republican, Virginia Pratt attempted a write-in campaign but, according to a Government Accountability Board tally, she fell short of the necessary 200 votes.  (Need an additional verification.)
