Excerpt:    Karin Slaughter, #1 international best-selling author of the recently published Fallen, announced today that her next project will be a digital original short story titled "Thorn in My Side" from Amazon Publishing's Thomas & Mercer imprint, available exclusively as a Kindle Single on August 25th, 2011. One hundred percent of Slaughter's proceeds from sales in the US will benefit the DeKalb County Library System in DeKalb County, Georgia.
