Fond du Lac Public Library Leaves Winnefox Automated Library Services

But remains a member of the Winnefox Library System.

Duke Behnke's Q&A: What does it mean for library users now that Fond du Lac Public Library will leave the Winnefox Library System? (Appleton Post-Crescent, 8/12/2011)

Excerpt:   With Fond du Lac’s withdrawal, its materials no longer will appear in the Winnefox catalog. Rather, Fond du Lac will have its own catalog.

“We will lose the ability to get to their collection so quickly and easily,” Neenah Library Director Stephen Proces said. “On the other hand, the residents of the city of Fond du Lac will lose the ability to use our materials quickly and easily (making them more available locally). It basically balances out. I don’t think it will be a huge impact.”

Winnefox still will draw from the remaining 29 libraries
