Ebooks, Netflix, and Library Building Projects (Part 104, Wilbur Aalfs Library, Sioux City Iowa)

Wilbur Aalfs Library to undergo four months of renvoations [sic]. (Sioux City Journal, 8/18/2011)

Excerpt:       [Library Director Betsy] Thompson said the renovation will almost double the number of computers available to the public; realign the aisles to wider widths; replace railings and upgrade restrooms to meet American with Disabilities law requirements; install new carpet, desks, chairs and lighting; and paint the walls.

"The library renovation project will upgrade wiring, cabling and electronic infrastructure, helping to bridge the digital divide with 30 public-access computers," she said.

The renvoations will reallocate floor space and adjust the placement of the circulation and reference desks to foster better traffic flow. The children's reading section will be upgraded.

"It will have a completely new look," Thompson reported
