Not all of Governor Walker's 'Tools' Available to Sturgeon Bay

Sturgeon Bay Looking at $176,000 Budget Deficit In 2012. (Door County Daily News, 5/10/2011)

Excerpt:   It's a number that could change, but as of April 26, the City of Sturgeon Bay is looking at a 2012 budget deficit of $176,380.20. That's the figure City Administrator Steve McNeil shared with the City Council at a special meeting April 26.

Along with the reductions to local aid included in the new state budget, McNeil says Governor Walker included "tools" for municipalities to use to make up for those reductions. But McNeil says some of those tools aren't at Sturgeon Bay's disposal, including some of the savings to be gained through changes in collective bargaining.
