UPDATE. WI 2nd Assembly District: GOP incumbent Andre Jacque defeats Independent challenger Mark Grams

Other election updates:
1st Wisconsin Assembly District.  (11/27/2016)

8/22/2016 update, "6 years later, Andre Jacque comfortably ensconced in Wisconsin State Assembly", starts here.

Although Jacque does not have a Democratic challenger, he is, technically, not running unopposed.

Two Rivers man to run for State Assembly.  (Herald Times Reporter, 6/20/20016)
Grams and his wife Betty have been living in Two Rivers for the last year, after Grams retired as the Dodge County veterans' service officer. They have owned their home in Manitowoc County for the last 10 years. He said he is running as an Independent because he wants to prove candidates do not have to raise a lot of money to get people to vote for them.

Andre Jacque won't seek 8th District seat.  (3/3/2016)
After Reid Ribble announced his decision not to run for another term, Jacque briefly toyed with the idea of running for the 8th Congressional District.

Original 11/7/2010 post, "Meet Andre Jacque, Republican Freshman Legislator from Wisconsin's 2nd Assembly District", start here.  (Note:   The district boundaries have changed since then.)

First of a series.

Common agenda alert: Jacque campaigned to repeal the "new $107.6 million phone tax".

I'm also calling out Jacque on the following statement: "...while Wisconsin lost more than 4 perecent [sic] of our employers over the past three years, Illinois gained almost 8 percent."

Employers? Employees? Bottom line, here's what the October 2010 Illinois Job Index has to report: Since the beginning of the recession in Dec 2007, Illinois has posted negative job changes 24 times and positive job gains eight times so far. The state of Illinois now has a net loss of 377,100 jobs since the beginning of the recession in December 2007.  [Emphasis added.]
