Community Input Sought for Marshfield Public Library Improvement Plans

Excerpt: The plans encompass expanding the library so that it will house the Senior Center and possibly a teen center, said Lori Belongia, library director, prior to the meeting.

"But this is bigger than combining the library and the Senior Center," Belongia said. The steering committee and those on the tour will visit communities that have recently renovated their libraries to learn about the multiple uses integrated into the public facilities, she said.

Some of the new libraries have drive-up window services, house historical societies, veterans centers and literacy councils, while others have coffee shops and teen centers, Belongia said
