Excerpt: The Marshfield Public Library was transformed into a showcase for nonprofit community organizations and agencies Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds of people visited about 30 booths of information tables while listening to music provided by various local musicians who conduct jam sessions at the Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts, 208 S. Chestnut Ave.

Surveying the crowd that had gathered to watch the Marshfield Hoedowners demonstrate square dancing, Library Director Lori Belongia said attendance at the annual event was good.

"This is something we like to do to show people that there is a lot happening in Marshfield," Belongia said.

Other years, attendance had been about 400 people, but as she looked around the library brimming with people, Belongia said attendance was up this year.
